For years, I worked hard to create a “happy” life. I had a good job, a great family, was doing good things and helping people. But I found myself caring so much about what other people thought of me that I completely lost sight of my values.
I was drowning in self-doubt and comparison. I was constantly stressed because I was doing everything for everyone else and seeking validation from everyone but myself. I criticized everything I said or did. I tried to control everything, only to be left feeling like nothing was ever good enough.
I searched for evidence that I wasn’t enough in every one of my relationships and in everything I did. And I usually found it.
I struggled with feeling like I wasn’t worthy. And the funny part (in a very ironic way)? Everyone thought I had it all together. I was exhausted from pretending everything was fine.
I know this space intimately. I know what it’s like to feel unworthy, unheard, and unfulfilled. I know what it’s like to be so lost that you can’t show up in your life and work the way you want to. I spent the better part of a decade pleasing, performing, perfecting, and proving. And, if I’m being honest, these are all things I work on every day to practice a better, brighter way of life.
It wasn't until I threw myself into therapy and personal development, and experienced the transformative power of coaching, that I learned how to truly believe in my own “enoughness.” I learned how to move through deep, dark emotions rather than avoiding, denying, and struggling. I learned how to establish boundaries, have tough conversations, and say ”no” to that which didn’t serve me. I developed my OWN sense of self and discovered what I stood for. Turns out it was there all along.
And, not only did I find clarity in what mattered most to me and the courage to create a life rooted in my values, I found a passion for coaching others. I fell in love with the craft of coaching and, in particular, the way it creates a unique space for people to take purposeful action in their lives while connecting with their personal experience and truest selves.
I know the power of exploring and harnessing your innermost wild—your authentic self without masking or pretending, unencumbered by the stories you’ve written about yourself and unburdened by the limiting beliefs you‘ve been carrying around for years. It can be truly liberating.
I am a certified coach with training in clinical psychology and 15 years of experience in training and development, communication, and engagement.
I’ve navigated some challenging times on this crazy ride of life: growing up in a divorced family, pursuing an advanced education path, becoming a stay-at-home mom to two incredible daughters, then a work-from-home mom, to (finally) seeking a major career shift in mid-life.
I’ve struggled through fear, self-doubt, crippling anxiety, imposter syndrome, and resistance to raw and honest change. The work I’ve done (that continues to this day) has led me to discover my purpose and passion and has kept me motivated for growth, empowerment, and authenticity.
My experience is why I'm deeply committed to helping my clients harness their innermost wild. Nothing brings me more fulfillment than helping someone find their voice, their way, and their worth.
